I was born and raised in Switzerland. My mother tongue is German. I have been living in Israel for over 40 years so that Hebrew is my second language on a mother tongue basis. Apart from my large record in legal translations, for some years I have gathered experience in translating memories, testimonies and letters from survivors of the Holocaust from German to Hebrew and I have been very successful in this field. This topic is very closed to me, since I belong to the second generation of Holocaust survivors. I also do consecutive translations at the court or at the client's office. I have a security classification from the Israeli police, which also allows me to translate sensitive material. For me translation is more than just a job in order to earn money, it is a passion and I simply love doing it. Best regards Monica Melman
