Monthly events

The ITA organizes ongoing meetings, workshops, courses and other events both for members and nonmembers in the areas of translation, editing and other related fields. It offers its members the opportunity to enhance their expertise and knowledge and keep up-to-date with translation-related topics and fast growing technology. Additionally, these events are a great opportunity to meet other translators and editors, exchange views and ideas and create and develop work connections.

10*10 - Short Lecture Evening no. 3

 

Monday, October 12, 2015, at 17:00-20:30

Prima City Hotel, 9 Mapu St., Tel Aviv (opposite the Dan Hotel on Ha'Yarkon St.).

 

We shall host ten speakers, each one delivering a brief (up to ten minutes) presentation on a specific translation related topic.

Schedule:

17:00 – 18:00: Registration
18:00 – 18:50: First round of short presentations
18:50 – 19:40: Break (full evening dinner)
19:40 – 20:30: Second round of short presentations

 

Prices: (Payment at the door)

ITA members: 90NIS

Nonmembers: 130 NIS

Speaker for this evening: 45 NIS

Following questions that have been addressed to us in previous events, we wish to stress that we cannot maintain a separate registration for a “half evening” (just lectures, and with or without evening dinner). Each registration requires the full payment as noted above.

Busses: From the New Central Bus Station – No. 4. Frequency: every few minutes. Get off at the corner of Ben-Yehuda and Frishman. A short walk northwards along Ben-Yehuda St, and you are at the corner of Mapu St. Turn left and the hotel is to your right.
You can also take the yellow Sherut taxis that go on the same route.

From the Central (Arlozorov) Train Station –  No. 10. Frequency: every 13 minutes. Get off at the corner of Ben-Yehuda and Gordon. A short walk southwards alongBen-Yehuda St., and you are at the corner of Mapu St. Turn right and the hotel is to your right.

From the Shalom (next to theAzrielliCenter) Train Station  – No. 63. Frequency: every 10 minutes. Get off at the corner of Ben-Yehuda and Bugrashov. A short walk northwards along Ben-Yehuda St., crossing Mendele and Frishman streets, and you are at the corner ofMapu St. Turn left and the hotel is to your right.

Driving by car: EnterHa’Yarkon St. viaBugrashov St.,, and drive northwards. Go past theDanHotel, turn left intoFrishman St., and enter the parking lot to your right, opposite theDanHotel. The City Hotel is about two minutes walk from there, going eastwards.

Note: The small parking lot that used to be right next to the City Hotel no longer exists.

Parking: At the parking lot bordering on Frishman St.– 10 NIS per hour (40 NIS for 4 hours).
On the other side of the Dan Hotel, where Bugrashov St. enters Ha'Yarkon St., there is the "Gan London" underground parking – 12 NIS for the first hour, 3 NIS for every extra 15 minutes (48 NIS for 4 hours).
