Dinner, Lecture, and winter games for Translators
We are pleased to announce that the next event to be held by the Israel Translators Association will take place in Haifa.
When: Monday, January 6, 2020, between 17:00 – 21:00 hrs.

This event takes place soon after the annual "Festival of Festivals" in Haifa, a mixed Jewish-Arabic city, and we have selected the topics of this event accordingly.
Hannah Amit-Kochavi (in Hebrew)
Researches the history of literary translation from Arabic into Hebrew since the early days of Zionism and up to this day. Mainly translates Arabic-Hebrew-English, and also from other languages into Hebrew.
Hannah will talk about translating Arabic literature into Hebrew according to: what's been translated, who translated, where was it translated, why was it translated, and will answer questions raised by the audience.
Winter games for translators
Moderated by Merav Levin-Fuchs.
Fictionary Variants
Playing around with words, dictionaries, and rhymes in competing groups.

Getting to the the place and parking:
By car: Waze recognizes the place.
There are several free parking lots near and behind the Colony Hotel, and on Anilevich St.
Buses: From the "Khof Carmel" central bus station, line 1 on the Metronit.
Frerquency: Every few minutes. Goes past the Colony Hotel on Ben-Gurion Blvd.
If coming by train: Get off at the "Ha'Shmona" station, at the end of Ben-Gurion Blvd. From there it's a few minutes walk to the Colony Hotel.
