Every three years FIT awards prizes in various categories. The nominations are open for the 2025 awards!
ITA members who would like to nominate themselves, or get more information, are hereby requested to submit their candidacy and all relevant details to bruck+fit@translation.org.il no later than November 9, 2024.

Astrid Lindgren Prize
Sponsored by the ASTRID LINDGREN FOUNDATION to promote the translation of children’s literature
“Aurora Borealis” Prize for Outstanding Translation of Fiction Literature
Sponsored by the Norwegian Association of Literary Translators, to promote the translation of fiction
literature
“Aurora Borealis” Prize for Outstanding Translation of Non-Fiction Literature
Sponsored by a generous donation from the Norwegian Association of Non-Fiction Writers and Translators (NFF), and is financed by copyright revenue
Karel Čapek Medal
Awarded to promote the translation of literary works written in languages of limited diffusion
FIT Prize for Excellence in Scientific and Technical Translation
Awarded to promote scientific and technical translation; ITI is custodian of this prize fund.
FIT Prize for Interpreting Excellence
Awarded to promote the quality of interpreting and to highlight the role of interpreters
Albin Tybulewicz Prize for Professional Solidarity in the Translation and Interpreting Community
Award founded by TEPIS and ITI, in memory of Albin Tybulewicz
Marion Boers Prize for Translation of Work of Fiction or Non-Fiction by an Author from a SADC Member State
Awarded by South African Translators Institute
FIT Prize for Best Periodical
Awarded to recognize excellence in member associations' periodicals
Pierre-François Caillé Memorial Medal
Awarded in memory of Pierre-François Caillé, founder of FIT
