This talk offers another, common sense way to become a go-to translator in your field (and have fun too!) Danny first gave this talk at the 2010 ITA Conference and the content largely remains as relevant as ever.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Originally from Liverpool, England, Danny has been playing with words from an early age, and translating professionally for over 25 years. She holds an MBA in Marketing Management (USAL &amp; Albany University) and is a Certified International Copyeditor. Additionally, she has earned TAUS certifications in post-editing and transcreation, further solidifying her expertise in translation and content adaptation.<br \/>\nA dedicated professional in QA proofreading and security standards, Dolores is an active member of IRAM (ISO member body), and ATA Standards Committee where she contributes to discussions on translation and security issues both in Argentina and globally. She plays a key role in the adaptation and translation of security standards, ensuring compliance with international best practices.<br \/>\nShe has been lecturing internationally since 2017 on topics including quality assurance, podcasting, audio, and industry standards.<br \/>\nAs the creator of a podcast that blends language, culture, and professional growth, she believes in the power of authentic storytelling, meaningful connections, and a strong attitude to inspire and elevate professionals. She is the Administrator of the Spanish Language Division (SPD) and the Chair of the Standards Committee of the American Translators Association (ATA). Gabriela has been involved with several international organizations for standardization, including ISO, ANSI, IRAM, and ASTM. She works for several major international brands, localizing and developing their Marketing campaigns in Spanish.
